The Welby Arms at Allington is in a pleasant village near to the A1 and north of Grantham. We have eaten at this popular pub on a few occasions and it has a good range of real ales including Bass, Tim Taylors Landlord and guest beer. It continues to maintain its high reputation for good value, good quality food and is one of our favourites in the area. Children welcome in the restaurant.Dogs in garden only. Real ales. Accommodation available.

High prices, poor quality food and a rather unpleasant atmosphere. Couldn't wait to leave!

We eat here on a regular basis and very often take our children. The menu is extensive and they also offer a childrens menu. Great food, service and real ale. Set in a glorious rural location, it is a real gem of a pub. Really worth a visit!

Sunday Lunch for 17 people was no problem at all for The Welby Arms. We all had a really nice meal qnd as we were celebrating a 90th birthday they allowed us to take our own cake, it was brought to the table with candles lit (a very nice touch). The choice of menu was excellant withplenty of choice for everyone including small children. We shall be returning in the very near future and have no fear in recommending the pub to friends and family.

Fab place - VERY child friendly. We had a table for 11 for Sunday lunch which included 5 children (4 of which are under 4!). The food was great, fantastic service and the men liked the real Ale options. The children were well provided for with smaller portions of lunch etc. We were unsure we'd be allowed to book with such a large proportion of children but no-one minded. Excellent all around!

The best pub and restaurant in the area by far. Always five or six real ales on at any time and deservedly winner of the Grantham villages pub award for 2006. The Welby Arms has also been voted runner up of the Grantham Journal Good Food Award for the last two years!

Excellent haddock and chips, with fresh fish being deliverd twice a week from Grimsby. Great, friendly service from knowledgable manager and manageress who have stayed in the pub despite ownership change mid-2002. Beer is particularly well cared for - due
