The Royal Oak at Cardington claims to be the oldes pub in Shropshire. Grade II listed with lots of atmosphere. Serves a good range of imaginative food from baguettes up. No smoking dining area. Real ales. Children allowed if eating.

Will definately be back. Brilliant atmosphere, really made to feel welcome.

Very good food. All fresh cooked so takes time but well worth it.

I was only there for a quick pint but they had 3 or 4 real ales at around £2.10 a pint. Very picturesque location about 12 mins off the main Shrewsbury to Hereford road.
