The Royal Oak at Cardington claims to be the oldes pub in Shropshire. Grade II listed with lots of atmosphere. Serves a good range of imaginative food from baguettes up. No smoking dining area. Real ales. Children allowed if eating.

09:14 03/05/05I was only there for a quick pint but they had 3 or 4 real ales at around £2.10 a pint. Very picturesque location about 12 mins off the main Shrewsbury to Hereford road.
