Dining Pubs in Hoveringham

Reindeer, Hoveringham

Reindeer
Main Street
Hoveringham
Nottinghamshire

telephone: 0115 966 3629

The Reindeer at Hoveringham is a small but interesting village pub with lots of atmosphere with exposed wooden beams. A small selection of real ales and the landlord is making a real effort to serve high quality good value food. Straightforward Nottinghamshire Pub. Well worth a visit.

Rude landlord, beer undrinkable, refused to change it. This man takes customer relations to a new low.

First visit to this establishment with my 10 year old daughter, along with some colleagues. We found the menu expensive, with little choice and certainly not for children. When the food arrived we each had a total of 7 chips, 'chunky' they may have been but very few. We found the 'burger' chewy and dry, and in fact my daughter's was pink in the middle! All in all we were disappointed with the meal, and we will not be making a return visit at those prices!

We go here a lot. Good wine list, a lot by the glass, the food is exellent, unfussy clever cooking, and local quality ingredients. Excellent, log fires, nice people. a real gem.

Just had sunday lunch for a party of eight friends. All tastes and appetites were well satisfied by both the quality of food and excellent service. The menu is inventive but not pseuedo!

We had Sunday lunch last week 4 adults 2 children one 18 month one 7 plus one adult a strict vegetarian. We can only say the food was lovely, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We played cricket on the field at the back of the pub and a great time was had by all. We will be visiting again very soon

Great bar but food menu has few choices and is over priced. 8.30pm Saturday and the bar was buzzing but the restaurant was deserted. Says it all really.

Excellent food. Friendly Staff and an O.K. choice of beers. Relax in the summer evenings watching local village cricket in the pubs grounds/beer garden then retire inside for pleasurable feast!
