We were made so welcome by the new owners - we had the fried haddock which was huge and kept us going for the rest of the day. Lots of dogs around - luckily I like dogs! |Would recommend it,

Food was good quality. However, one of our party had fishcakes and broccoli.....no potatos/chips & no mention that they were not included. Prices are quite high. We have been to other pubs in the New Forest which offer much better value for money. Also, one of our party asked for no salad, just tomatoes & was told the menu could not be changed AT ALL, end of story! 2 lemonades, a J2O and one glass of wine was over £8. The Metro Palace Hotel in Bournemouth was £7.50 for vodka, Lime & Lemonade, A G&T, a large glass of tonic water and a Pineapple Juice. We were not impressed with the New Forest Inn at Emery Down & will not be calling again. One final thing, no reservations are taken on a Sunday.
