The Abbey at Darley Abbey is interesting has it includes remains of stonework from the 11th century abbey of Saint Mary de Pratis. The inn is the only surviving building of the abbey. Good value beer (Sam Smiths) and bar food.

I lived in the village for almost two years and spent many a fine evening within the confines of its medieval ambience!
