The Black Horse at Hulland ward is a 300 year old pub and has lots of character. Good range of real ales and good quality food in a nice dining room. Close to Carsington Water. Worth a visit.

Mike and Mu are always excellent hosts for our bi-annual biker meet at this pub. They lay on the best breakfasts and dinners and are extremely tolerant of our high jinks out on the road! Long may they continue to run this lovely old pub. Oh and please...keep the bar billiards!

I had my wedding reception here, great home made food, always a friendly welcome. Have also stayed the night on various occasions. Accommodation excellent and comfortable
