Attractive thached dining pub, The Three Horseshoes at Madingley serves imaginative food often with unusual combinations. Part of the group that owns the Pheasant at Keyston. A civilised dining experience. Food is served in the bar as well as the restaurant. Good wine list. Real ales. Children welcome.

Visited the restaurant on the 14th Feb. What a disappointment,
we had to spend much time listening to customers complaining for their reservations to extremely rude stuff. The food was very poor, cold and tasteless and very much overpriced.

Sunday lunch time, we found a table for four, bought drinks at the bar studied the menu for amybe 10 minutes, then went to the bar to order food. The barman sent us away explaining that it was waitress service and we would be seen at our table. 20 minutes later we left without ever getting to see a waitress.
I don't really no how to score this, the service just did not exist.

Given all I'ver heard about this place, I will give it a second go. The food, which is very pricey for a pub, even a pub / restaurant, was okay but nothing special and I strongly suspect that the seared tuna (and I love nearly raw fish) made me a bit ill. The wine was fantastic, however, and the service friendly and efficient. Once I've re-mortgaged, I'll give it another try!
