The Caunton Beck at Caunton is a delightful country pub is situated in a old building recently renovated. Serves well kept beers including Tim Taylors Landlord and Marstons Pedigree. It is a popular place to dine out with a good reputation for its food. It has a modern continental atmosphere. It is open, daily, from 8 o'clock, the morning continuously, with food available until around middnight. Children allowed in eating areas. There is a nice terrace at the from of the pub which is very popular for drinkers during the summer months. The pub and restaurant parts are virtually on one level and there is good disabled access from the car park. "Over recent months we have eaten there several times, and the food has been consistantly excellent"- RH.

19:45 20/09/09 Yummy, local produce, well prepared, well served, then well eaten! |
13:20 04/07/08 The food was very well presented, but there was very little of it for the price, the puddings came with one small spoonfull of ice cream priced at 4.95,wouldnt eat there again |
12:32 10/11/07 every time we dine here the foods has been fantastic and the atmosphere is relaxing. I would reccommend Canuton Beck to anyone. |
11:47 29/09/07 cannot understand the really detrimental comments. Always enjoy the food here and never experienced bad service |
20:04 06/03/06 Very good pub food. |
13:40 24/11/05 Excellent food. Really good atmosphere. Makes a nice change. |
16:10 28/08/05 Cannot rate food as we did not stay. Lady in resturant didn'y seem to grasp the concept of a no smoking table |
11:05 28/08/05 not good at all, they need to learn the basics of service pricing and how food works. terrible. |
16:57 28/06/05 Every year a group of my friends travel up from London to attend Rufford ceramic show and we make a point of eating here as we really enjoy the atmosphere and food in a peacefull location |
15:15 24/06/05 overpriced, pretenious and the worst service ever encountered. |
00:23 31/05/05 Bank Holiday Monday - family lunch (all ten of us!) Patient attentive service and no desire to push us out quickly |
17:01 22/03/04 Served possibly the best first course I have eaten, cant wait until our next visit.
